His Revenge, My Ruin
Yashvi stood in front of the mirror, her hands slightly trembling as she adjusted her hair. A small smile played on her lips. Tonight… she was finally going to tell him everything. About the baby. About them. About a future she had quietly started dreaming of. “Neil…” she whispered to herself, smiling softly. The door slammed open. Her heart skipped. She turned— And the smile faded instantly. Neil stood there, breathing heavily, eyes dark… not with love, but something far more dangerous. Rage. Confusion. Pain. Before she could say anything, he walked up to her in long strides and grabbed her shoulders—tight. Too tight. “Tell me, Yashvi…” his voice was low, shaking, “tell me it wasn’t you.” Her breath hitched. “I—what—” “Jivika’s accident,” he snapped, his grip tightening. “Tell me you had nothing to do with it.” Silence. Just the sound of her heartbeat… breaking. Tears welled up in her eyes instantly. “Neil… I—” “Say it!” he shouted. “Say it’s not true!” Her lips trembled. The truth she had buried for so long… clawed its way out. Tears slipped down her cheeks. “I’m sorry…” her voice cracked, barely audible. “I’m so sorry, Neil… I swear I didn’t mean to… it was an accident… I never wanted—” His hands dropped from her like she burned him. He stepped back. As if he couldn’t even stand near her. The silence that followed was worse than his anger. A hollow laugh escaped him. “I loved her,” he whispered, more to himself than to her. “And you—” His eyes met hers. Cold. Broken. Unforgiving. “You took her away from me.” Yashvi shook her head desperately, stepping closer. “Neil, please… listen to me, I didn’t—” “I hate you.” The words didn’t come out loud. They came out final. Like a door shutting forever. Her world stopped. “I hate you,” he repeated, his voice sharper now. “Don’t ever show me your face again.” He turned and walked away. Just like that. Like she was nothing. “Neil—!” she ran after him, her vision blurred with tears. Outside, rain poured heavily, soaking everything within seconds. “Please listen to me!” she cried, her voice breaking as she chased him. He didn’t stop. Didn’t turn. Didn’t care. “NEIL!” Headlights. Too bright. Too close. A screech. A crash. And then— Silence.
